MYSIA. Kyzikos. Circa 500-450 BC. Hekte (Electrum, 10 mm, 2.66 g). Lion at bay to left, head forward, standing on tunny left. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square. Hurter & Liewald II, 84. Rosen 461. SNG Paris 182 var. (Stater). Very rare and with a magnificent lion of vigorous style. Very minor die rust, otherwise, extremely fine.
